The sequel to the snapshot-like story of BEACH, it picks up on the life of Reynold and how he deals with the new-found sainthood and Heaven as a whole.
It is part of General Short Stories: Trans in Barking Universe thread of connected stories.
This short story is set within the Trans in Barking character universe. You can download it on its Itch.io page.
The title of this story is a reference to the relationship formed in the afterlife between Reynold Waterz and the former rockstar St. Frederick Miles.
Cover art for ETERNITY MIXTAPE features the cigarettes held in the paws of both Reynold and Frederick, with a cassette in between the two. The main reasoning behind this is right above, along with throwing in a literal eternity mixtape just for fun.
Secondary meanings include the placement of the two characters paws, which reference the gestures a Greek orator would make Specifically translating to perfect / excellent, which is a great way to describe these two saints' relationship. The crackled stained-glass background plays into the Christian themes in the story, as it is quite literally set in Heaven.
Originally, there was not plans to have Reynold ever make another appearance in any of my stories. However, once I started working on the main Trans in Barking Acts, Intermissions, and Epilogue it became apparent that he would be needed to fill a crucial role. As more work was made, he became essentially the face of that series Side-B plot.
This story in particular is important in expanding his appearances, as it acts as a proper bridge between his first appearance in BEACH and next appearance in Trans In Barking: Second Intermission.
