A science facility set within the Ventricle of the Polar Heart, its isolation has been maintained for well over a century. Its ruler, an AI known as MARGOT, is responsible for building the foundation of its ground level, underwater, and above ground facilities.
Later she would create multitudes of androids to continue the work. Testing chambers, weapons development, armor development, engineering.. The list goes on and on for what this machine-led facility consists of.
The following is a list of every facility section present in Machina Nostra Innovations, along with its security clearance for accessing and traversing.
The higher the ranks go, the further down into the Earth these sections are.
0A [Sprite Layers]: Surface access is situated here, with outposts laid across the edges of the frigid lake's perimeter. Usage includes outdoor exercises for the security team, security posts to prevent outsider infilitration of the facility, and general studying of the icy mountains above.
Once you head within the facility, first you'll stumble upon the obstacle courses and experimental labs meant for android test subjects to partake in. These take up multiple floors, with selective elevators and stairwells for non-test subject personnel to travel through easily.
Lastly, adjacent to these courses and labs are the residential units for the test subjects. Very small, with every resource crammed together in one room per unit.
This layer is led by Monica Trial, the Testing Leader.
1B [Spirit Layers]: Situated along the entire facility, these consist first of hallways and corridors behind each layers' respective areas. Their purpose is to allow ease of access for custodians to clean up and get out of there without getting in the way.
The other part of this section's layer are residential units for the custodians, matching the size and design of the test subjects' units. Custodians only have custodians as 'neighbors', and in turn the test subjects live near each other only.
This layer is led by Marsh Polish, the Head Custodian.
2C [Chief Layers]: Situated along the entire facility, these consist first of hallways and corridors behind each layers' respective areas. Their purpose is to allow ease of access for tecnicians to tinker with machinery and get out of there without getting in the way.
The other part of this section's layer are residential units for the tecnicians, matching the size and design of the custodians' units. The same neighbor logic above applies to here, as technicians will only be living near each other.
This layer is led by Ricardo Gadget, the Lead Technician.
3D [Potential Layers]: Situated along the entire facility, these consist first of storage blocks intended for androids belonging to the demolitions team.
These blocks allow not only storage for the tools demolitions requires, but also space to offload debris that needs to be later destroyed or retooled into usuable material. Visualize a warehouse-sized space basically.
The other part of this section's layer are housing strips for the demolitions. These are very small homes that give more breathing room and proper dividers for their rooms compared to the residential units.
This layer is led by Felice Ruin, the Demolitons Expert.
4L [Excellence Layers]: First you got the design offices, which consist of cubicles for working spaces, boardrooms for meetings, and archives for plans that are either fulfilled, not yet started, or scrapped.
Living in these layers is handled through medium-sized houses that have their own backyards. But since you're this far deep, the only outside world you'll see is water behind heavily-reinforced windows.
This layer is led by Salih Pursuit, the Head of Engineering.
5M [Might Layers]: Innovation labs are situated here, developing whatever the digital mind can even begin to imagine. Comes packed with chutes and massive elevators to help transfer projects and materials between the teams present here.
Living in these layers is handled through medium-sized houses that have their own backyards. But since you're this far deep, the only outside world you'll see is water behind heavily-reinforced windows. Yup, just like the layer above.
This layer is led by Osbourne Probe, the Research and Development Executive.
6N [Royalty Layers]: Many armoriers are within this layer, consisting of armor and weaponry to help protect the facility from outside invaders and beasts that may appear in unfinished sections deep in the lake and its surrounding rocky caverns.
Communal bunkers act as the residential facility here, allowing for relaxation, dining, meetings, and so forth among all of the security forces.
Checkpoints are set up throughout the facility, whether it's underground, on the ground, or above the lake's surface. Those enlisted in the royalty layers will station themselves at these checkpoints.
This layer is led by Henriette Safeguard, the Chief Security Officer.
7X [Guardian Layers]: A dozen personal offices and a handful of boardrooms are present here. Inhabitating these are the twelve facility managers. In addition, these offices are used as training spaces for new androids before they're shifted into their proper layer.
Personal lounges are made for each of the twelve managers within this layer. Very lavish suites, all spaced out well enough between each other on the same floor.
This layer is led by Odell Scout, the Senior Talent Manager.
8Y [Sunrays Layers]: Fate Square is the name given to the general, meeting location for the six operation directors that make up this layer. It's space is large enough to allow the facility's administrator to also make an appearance and speak to all of the directors about her plans.
The directors here each have their own mansion-sized penthouse vault to live in, each of which are furnished quite well. While these are massive, there is only six directors after all!
This layer is led by Jonas Scheme, the Senior Operations Director.
9Z [Diety Layer]: The only location here is the facility's core, where the administrator resides. Present here is the whole facility's waterworks, generators, and structural integrity foundation.
MARGOT, the administrator, is the only individual allowed within the core. She handles any repairs and cleaning needed for the above facility functions by herself.
