The early demo version of this was immensely inspired by the Stanley Parable, with a narrator just as dramatic and a ton of fourth-wall breaking. Only a small bit of this original concept made it into the final game as a secret, dream ending. It IS worth noting that such a game like this (Wave's Scripts) wouldn't exist in general without that classic game linked above!
I originally considered having Puppy visit even more of Amaryllis, but scrapped that due to the scope of the game as is.
In the original game's concept - something drastically different from the final release - there was an ending where you controlled the narrator and could lead them to victory or death(s) in a exploring sequence.
This game is a tie-in to a future short story involving Puppy Wave. Though as of writing said story doesn't exist yet!
In a realistic sense, Puppy Wave is the oldest character I've had star as the protagonist of one of my works. Said age being within their late-40s.
The cover art design is basically giving the viewer a blunt sight of Puppy Wave from the getgo. It's also inspired by the cover art for Andrew WK's album I Get Wet. The neon background colors were chosen because the protagonist is a nonbinary lesbian themselves.
Title for this game was chosen because these are essentially the scripts of Puppy Wave's life.
I specifically left the sex scene section very vague and brief because I want to the viewer to fill in the blanks for what moves Puppy brought out in the brothel. And because leaving it quick and vague is funny to me.
