Trivia
A grim and fragmented shot of Saint Nowhere's skull (with halo included) is the cover art for this album because it represents how fragmented my thoughts are and how these past couple years have made me feel. Ah well, we'll feel better in due time!
Conceptually you can describe this album as mostly me venting along with throwing in some fictional scenarios as a way to flex those creative muscles. Another one can interpret it as a mock funeral for Saint Nowhere, but that one came way later in the creation process compared to earlier tracks (in regards to when I made them).
Wrangle the Memories and Hear the Hounds both find themselves being inspired by the band Ween. The former track's closest inspiration would be Ween's song Buenas Tardes Amigo, while the latter track taps into the vibes of their song Object.
Love the Differences was worked on in response to the constant infighting I see between trans, nonbinary, and other folks of non-cis genders. It's a tiring thing to see and in an age of rampant Fascism we really could do without tearing each other apart. Releasing this album during Pride Month just makes this song shine even harder I'd say.
A big thing I wanted to aim for in this album was having every track transition between each other as best as I could. You can definitely see points where that does happen, but after a point it felt too forced and limiting so I kind of just dropped that aspect late in the album's development.
